As the hotel is situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, stunning scenery is a given. On the "must see" list are the nearby attractions of Fountains Abbey founded in 1172 and the adjoining Studley Royal Park, owned by the National Trust and a World Heritage Site.
Over the summer months Croquet plays a big part in the life at the Hotel. We have successfully hosted a number of International Croquet Championship events. Weather permitting, guests who are staying with us can enjoy a game free of charge.
